About Us

Jesus

In a word, Jesus is why we gather. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men" (John 1:1-3). John is talking about Jesus. Jesus is Lord (Master) and Savior. He is our everything! Jesus is the focus of all our meetings as a church.

The Church is the People of God, Not a Building

The first meeting of RCBC at the Hilltop location was on Resurrection Sunday, 2013. Months before, we met in a home before outgrowing it. Sadly, many people confuse a physical building for a church. The church, whether local or universal, is the people of God in Christ. Thus, the sign above the building where we meet reads, "Redding Community Bible Church Meets Here." That's important. All to say, whether we gather at 1195 Hilltop, or meet in a home, WE are the church!

Sinners Welcome

Fellow sinner, listen to Jesus' words, "It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance" (Luke 5:31-32). Jesus did for us what we would not and could not do. "He (God the Father) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21). So, if you are someone who hates your sin ... who wants to experience deliverance in the Lord Jesus Christ and grow in God's grace, RCBC is just such a body of like-minded believers!

Our Priorities

The foundation of this Church is the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11), and its code of guidance in all its affairs is the Word of God. This Church does here affirm its faith that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the Word of Almighty God...
